La Mano Fria

Inspired by the upcoming 12" single, "Kids thats Rich" by Raekwon & Pete Rock. "Kids thats Rich" is fresh off of Raekwon's "The Vatican: Mixtape Series". Both cd and 12" were designed by La Mano Fria. As Rice and Beans designer, La Mano Fria's designs are always laced with a deeper message. This design examines and exposes the secret society known as the Vatican. The message on his CD, 12" and this limited t-shirt design goes like this, "In the song Raekwon and his crew are a low key mafia street syndicate in the business of moving kilos and killing people. But what's the difference between them and the Vatican? Not much I think except, the Vatican gets away with it, is much richer, older and is run by a bunch of elite white guys in some fancy buildings hiding behind a religion. The Vatican is the residence of the Catholic Pope in the Vatican City, which has its own laws and even banking system as if it were a small country. For hundreds of years the Catholic religion, based from the Vatican, have been responsible for atrocities. For example, they sanctioned Spain's destruction of indigenous people in the Americas, endorsed the African slave trade and aided the Nazis. Entire tribes of western American Indians were annihilated under the direct orders of the brown robed butchers, for example, Coronado and his Spanish Conquistadors in 1519-1540's. The Aztecs (Mexico) and Incas (Peru, Chile, Ecuador), and smaller tribes throughout Central and South America, Cuba, Haiti, Grenada, Guam, and Philippines all fell victim. In the late middle ages, the Vatican viewed all natives of the Americas as indigenous natural slaves."
